Evolution backs underwriter development

Commercial specialist, Evolution Underwriting, has promoted Hannah Forde to the role of underwriting assistant.

Ms Forde joined Evolution in 2007 as group administrator and is being supported by the company in developing a career in underwriting.

Commenting on the move, the firm’s chief executive officer, Paul Upton, says: “As we broaden and grow our business over the coming years it is vital that we create a supply line of talented and well trained underwriters to manage the business.”

Launched early in 2004, Evolution delivers individually-underwritten commercial insurances targeted at mid-market SMEs and distributed through independent brokers.

Earlier this year, the company launched an initiative that provides exclusive deals from an online range of products from Cardinus Risk Management.

Evolution policyholders receive a voucher offering a free £100 initial purchase for services available on a co-branded version of Cardinus’s SME portal.
