Aon reports Q3 results
Aon has reported its results for the third quarter including net income of $144m, equating to $0.51 per share.
This is an improvement of 20% on the corresponding period last year when the firm made net income of $120m ($0.41 per share).
However, it is a decline on Q2 2010, when Aon earnt net income of $153m ($0.54 per share).
Net income from continuing operations was up 23% from $117m to $144m.
Revenue was $1.8bn, broadly similar to the prior year period and very slightly down on Q2 2010, with acquisitions in North America balanced by a modest decline in fiduciary investment income.
President and Chief Executive Officer Greg Case has said that the firm’s results in the third quarter are indicative of a solid performance by Aon during a time of challenging economic conditions.
