AXA appoints mid-corporate casualty manager
AXA has appointed Neil Hammond as casualty manager, mid-corporate risks.
He will report directly to Martin Eyres, head of mid-corporate risks, and be responsible for driving the profitable growth of the insurer’s entire casualty mid-corporate offering.
Mr Hammond joins from Arista, where he was UK head of casualty, having previously worked for Allianz for four years and AIG for eight years, as liability underwriting manager.
Commenting on the appointment, Mr Eyres says it brings a “wealth of experience and expertise” as the group continues to build corporate sector team.
Last week, AXA announced a major restructuring of its UK general insurance business aimed at enhancing market focus and the group’s alignment with customer needs.
The changes involve the creation of two self-contained business units, Commercial Lines and Personal Lines, led by their own chief executive officers.
