Ironshore Inc. has announced the appointment of Peter Ignell to the post of vice president of of Ironshore Insurance Services, LLC.

He brings more than a quarter of a century of experience to Ironshore, and during his career has accumulated experience in underwriting, engineering and management.

Prior to joining Ironshore he worked for Chartis’ Global Marine
and Energy property group in Chicago as vice president, and has also held positions with Zurich and Allianz.

Ignell, who is to be based in St. Louis, Missouri, will be tasked with management of the wholesale property operation and providing the wholesale underwriters with a strategic underwriting and market direction.

He will be directly responsible to Steven England, executive vice president of Ironshore’s U.S. Field Operations.
