Open GI has been selected by high street firm NMJ Insurance Brokers to act as NMJ’s IT partner for its most recent acquisition.

Last month Protheroe Insurance, a firm based in Derbyshire and specialising in motor, home and commercial insurance, was acquired by NMJ.

NMJ is consolidating onto a single IT platform, and as part of this Protheroe is shifting from SSP to Open GI.

Protherore was NMJ’s second acquisition since January, with a rough target of three or four acquisitions each year, in order to help establish the firm in the North and Midlands.

NMJ Director Nick Potts has expressed his confidence in the capacity of the Open GI platform to support the firm’s growth plans.

Protheroe’s acquisition followed that of Ridge Insurance, which NMJ acquired in January of this year.
