AXA Insurance builds mid-corporate risks team

AXA Insurance has appointed Martin Eyres as head of mid-corporate risks, with responsibility for driving the profitable growth of the insurer’s mid-corporate offering.

The specialist appointment is the firm’s fourth in recent months, as it continues to build capability to accommodate larger risks.

Having taken up his post on 1st September, Mr Eyres is now beginning the process of forming a team of property, casualty and motor underwriting specialists.

Members of the team will be based in London, Manchester and Birmingham, to ensure that key decision makers are close to their customers.

Joining from CNA where he was European Underwriting Director – Property, Mr Eyres previously worked for AIG (for 18 years) and RSA (for 10 years).

Outside the workplace, he has taken on the role of president of the London Business Interruption Association.
