Marsh appoints corporate business head
Marsh has appointed Richard Lloyd as head of its national corporate business in Carlisle and Newcastle, which provides risk and insurance advice for mid to large-size corporates throughout the North of England.
Mr Lloyd, who has worked for Marsh for two years, will assume overall responsibility for the development of the firm’s insurance broking and risk advisory services in the region.
Having over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, he succeeds Allan McPherson, who is now the group’s UK national corporate sales leader.
Commenting on the appointment the firm’s Northern Region leader, Paul Fairhurst, says: “More and more organisations, both in the public and private sectors, are realising the value that robust risk management and insurance provision can deliver, in terms of enhanced corporate governance, regulatory compliance and efficiency savings.”
He adds: “Richard will play a pivotal role in assisting Marsh’s clients in the North of England develop their risk and insurance strategies and contribute to their continued success.”
