Bridle acquires Abbot Insurance

| July 21, 2010 | 0 Comments

Bridle Insurance has announced that it has acquired Leicestershire-based Abbot Insurance, a specialist in niche personal lines, beating off stiff competition to acquire the firm.

The deal, worth a six figure sum, will substantially bolster Bridle’s personal lines division client base.

Head of Personal Lines Darren Nangle has described the move as a significant new acquisition for Bridle, adding that there was a large alignement between Bridle and Abbot due to their shared emphasis on top quality customer service.

Bridle remains on the look out for further potential acquisitions, and Nangle has stated that the firm intends to complement its rapid organic growth with more acquisitions in the near future.

The acquisition of Abbot follows that of Welsh broker Associated Householders Services Limited, which was acquired in June of this year.
