Bowring Marsh has expanded its presence in Asia by opening its ninth office in Hong Kong.

Bowring Marsh’s Hong Kong office will specialise in property, earthquake, business interruption and casualty risks, offering business from Greater China with enhanced support.

The office will also facilitate better access to international markets for Marsh’s global clients, and will be led by Godwin Chan, who joins from Marsh.

Chan will be directly responsible to the head of Bowring Marsh in Asia, Geoff Lambrou.

Bowring Marsh has a number of other insurance hubs throughout the world, in the global cities of Bermuda, Dublin, London, Miami, São Paulo, Singapore, Tokyo and Zurich.

Bowring Marsh CEO Nick Bacon has stated that the new office will help meet rising demand effectively, and support the growing Marsh retail operations.

In May of this year the firm opened its eighth office in Tokyo, and announced that Tetsuro Nakazawa, previously of Marsh, would lead it.
