Fortis wins quartet of awards
Fortis Insurance UK enjoyed a good night at the 2010 British Insurance Awards, hosted at the Royal Albert Hall, winning a quartet of awards.
The firm won the Customer Care Award for the quality of service it provides long-term partner Age UK’s 400,000 elderly customers.
Its service to its customers is rated as exceptional, and 89% of customer indicate they would recommend Fortis/Age UK.
Fortis also won the Claims Initiative of the Year Award in recognition of its Claims and Operations Way guidelines which detail how a claim should proceed both in manner and haste.
Two years after entering the Protection market the insurer won the Technology Award for its approach to Protection, particularly its cutting edge e-business technology.
Subsidiary RIAS beat off stiff competition to claim the prize of Personal Lines Broker of the Year, and Fortis was also on the shortlist for General Insurer of the Year.
However, Allianz won the title of General Insurer of the Year, also beating Hiscox and QBE, with online insurer swiftcover winning the Marketing Initiative of the Year Award.
