The protection underwriting team of LV= has won the prestigious H J Greening prize for the second consecutive year.

The prize is awarded by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) to the best life insurance paper submission from an individual in the UK.

LV=’s Exeter office is the workplace of 2009 winner, Lisa Byrne, who follows Charlotte Smith, also based in Exeter, who won the award in 2008.

Smith and Byrne have been with LV= for a combined total of 21 years, having joined the firm in 2001 and 1998 and risen through the ranks to become senior members of the firm’s life underwriting team.

Head of underwriting Anna Rogers responded to the prize by expressing the firm’s pride in both Smith and Byrne.

Rogers also stated that the firm was committed to nurturing the very best talent, and said that all of LV=’s life underwriters were working towards acquiring the joint CII and Assurance Medical Society Diploma in Life and Disability underwriting.
