Marsh has announced the appointment of Caroline Woolley as Property Practice leader, and the appointment of Alain Petit-Lambotte as Casualty Practice leader for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Woolley joined the firm fours years ago as accountancy leader of Marsh Risk Consulting’s Forensic Accounting and Claims Services (FACS) team.

Petit-Lambotte brings more than two decades of experience of the insurance industry to his new position, and has held a number of posts for Marsh during his decade and a half with the firm.

Woolley replaces outgoing Property Practice leader Katherine Kanaga, who has retired, and Petit-Lambotte succeeds Nick Bacon, now the chief executive officer of Bowring Marsh.

Woolley and Petit-Lambotte are both directly responsible to the head of the firm’s EMEA Risk Management Practice, Bruce Trigg.

Trigg has said that business recently has a had a wake-up call in the form of the colossal oil spill in the Gulf as well as the volcanic interruption of airspace.

He went on to welcome the two appointments, adding that Woolley and Petit-Lambotte would prove great assets in supporting businesses seeking to enhance their business continuity planning.
