Allianz launches Defaqto broker comparison service
Allianz Insurance has launched an online comparison service for brokers, on its eBroker website.
The insurer is making use of the latest Defaqto Compare comparison tool which uses a traffic light system to allow brokers to compare the cover provided by Allianz’s “Clear” household range against a number of providers in the UK.
The move forms part of the group’s strategy to build a portfolio of free value-added services to support brokers in a price-driven market place.
To this end, the Defaqto tool can enable brokers to move from a rate driven to a feature driven sale.
Allianz director, broker and corporate partner, Simon Brimicombe, says: “Of course price is important but we want to make life simpler for brokers during the sales process and ensure that the needs of their customers are met.”
He adds: “Allianz’s “Clear” product range is already proving to be very popular because of its tiered product design and I would urge our broker partners to visit our website … to see for themselves just how effective the new comparison tool is.”
The group has also recently announced that it will be joining the PowerPlace panel later this year, securing a new outlet for its SME range, which will be extended in 2011.
