Tolle joins Beazley Furlonge board
The board of Beazley Furlonge Ltd, the Lloyd’s managing agency that forms part of Beazley plc, is to be joined by Rolf Tolle, Beazley has announced.
Tolle, whose appointment requires the necessary regulatory green light, was formerly franchise performance director at Lloyd’s, until December when he ended his seven years in the post and retired.
Earlier in his career he worked for Faraday Group, General Re’s Lloyd’s insurance and reinsurance operation, as chief underwriting officer.
Andrew Horton, chief executive of Beazley, has expressed his delight at Tolle joining the board of Beazley Furlonge.
Horton added that the excellent reputation of Lloyd’s is due in part to the role Tolle played as the organisation’s first franchise performance director.
Tolle himself has said he is delighted to be joining Beazley Furlonge, stating that he had respected the managing agency for a long time.
