Zurich considers relocating HQ to Dublin

Zurich is reported to be talking to the Financial Services Authority over plans to relocate its European life assurance headquarters to Dublin.

The group is said to be weighing up the tax benefits of such a move and according to The Independent, its operations in Swindon and Cheltenham would not be affected.

In other Zurich UK news, the company has announced a number of appointments to its general insurance executive team:

Kay Martin has joined from Aviva to take up the post of chief marketing officer and head of UKGI strategy.

John Dyke has replaced Scott Egan as chief finance officer, while Mr Egan moves to head group operations and planning and performance management.

Tony Emms has been appointed UK chief claims officer, replacing Bill Paton who has become the chief claims officer for Zurich’s European claims organisation.
