Broker insurer MMA has announced the opening of its new regional office in Newcastle, and the team that will operate there.

Business Development Manager Anthony Harris and Regional Underwriter Ian McIntire will lead the office, bringing a total of nine years experience at the firm to the new office.

Commercial Director Derek Plummer stated that the Newcastle office was the second regional office MMA has opened this year, following the template of previous expansions which have enabled the firm to successfully grow its presence in the UK.

Plummer added that the early signs from the broking community were very positive and that he looked forward to the firm becoming a significant player in Newcastle.

The expansion into Newcastle was first announced in March this year, with MMA also promising new offices in Chelmsford and Bristol later in the year.
