Endurance names head of US wholesale operations
Bermuda-based specialty provider of property and casualty insurance and reinsurance Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. has named John Zachry as the new head of the firm’s US insurance wholesale operations.
In his new role Zachry’s responsibilities will be enlarged to include property and casualty underwriting, and he will report directly to President William M. Jewett.
He first joined the firm in 2004, and two years ago was appointed as president and chief property officer of US operations.
Zachry is a veteran of the industry and brings more than three decades of experience to his new post.
Prior to joining Endurance he worked for Great American Custom Insurance Services, Inc. for over a decade, before which he worked for Cravens Dargan (Cigna E&S) in Los Angeles and Transamerica Insurance Company.
Jewett has described Zachry as instrumental in the development of the firm’s US wholesale operations, and expressed his confidence in Zachry’s ability to succeed in his new role.
