Marsh launches specialist insolvency practice
Marsh has launched a new practice to provide expert risk and insurance advice to UK insolvency practitioners.
The move follows a sharp increase in demand for specialist insolvency products, and the practice will be led by Simon Dodd, previously national insolvency director at Willis.
Joining Mr Dodd from Willis’s insolvency business are Paul Samme, Julie Cummins, Judith Anderson and Susan Barr.
The team will provide a comprehensive range of products and services, such as arranging insurance for assets and liabilities from the moment the insolvency practitioner is appointed, without the need for prior notification.
After-the-event insurance, to support the recovery of money owed to an insolvent business, is also available plus solutions to support the sale of assets, such as environmental liability insurance and defective title cover.
Commenting on the launch, Mr Dodd says: “Insolvency practitioners operate in a fast-moving and pressurised environment … the products offered by the experienced Marsh team will enable them to concentrate fully on their core business activities.”
