Marsh launches new nuclear practice
Marsh has announced that it is establishing a new International Nuclear Practice to handle concerns revolving around energy security and climate change.
The new practice will be led by the head of Marsh’s UK power and utilities practice, Mark Popplewell, who will collaborate closely with the head of the US Utility and Nuclear Practice, Dan McGarvey.
Popplewell has stated that over the next decade and a half governments will be embarking upon substantial investments in the nuclear sector in a bid to improve energy security and combat climate change.
He went on to say that Marsh would make its expertise and extensive resources fully available to its nuclear industry clients.
President of Marsh’s International Operations, Alex Moczarski, added that the formation of the new practice was a testament to the firm’s commitment to the nuclear sector.
Earlier this month Marsh established a new insolvency practice, led by Simon Dodd, to meet the rising demand for specialist insolvency insurance.
