A quartet of bikers from Kwik Fit Insurance, including Business Development Director Stevie Sutherland, is participating in the 1600 mile Caledonian Bike Challenge around the coast of Scotland.

The event, which takes place from 31 May to 4 June, will raise funds to help provide Yorkhill’s Cardiology Department with a new cardiac ultrasound machine.

Sutherland has expressed his delight to be able to help provide much need equipment for the hospital which will benefit numerous people, including four year old Callum Richardson from Dalry in Ayrshire.

At eight days old Callum had life-saving open heart surgery at Yorkhill, and is one of the 150,000 children who attend Yorkhill every year.

Alistair Richardson, Callum’s father, spoke of his admiration for the excellent work Yorkhill does and stated his full support for Kwik Fit Insurance’s efforts to raise funds.

Chief Executive of Yorkhill Children’s Foundation Shona Cardle has expressed her delight at the insurer’s fund-raising efforts on behalf of Yorkhill.
