Heath Lambert merges divisions

Heath Lambert is to commence an expansion into the SME sector by merging the Commercial Affinity and Small Business division (CASB) into its Personal Lines division, Heath Lambert Insurance Services (HLIS).

By making such a move CASB will be able to reap the benefit of HLIS’ experience.

The new division will then be integrated into the Heath Lambert Retail division, bolstering the firm’s offering to affinity partnerships and skill sets.

Both divisions already have experience of working together, as they are presently collaborating on the Post Office Business Insurance scheme.

Together, the divisions will have a strong client list, including Diabetes UK, The Stroke Association, Royal Yacht Association (RYA), Admiral Group brands, elephant.co.uk and Diamond and Debenhams home insurance.

The announcement follows the appointment of Equity Direct Managing Director David Birch as the new HLIS sales director, effective in July.

In addition, Heath Lambert’s specialist insurance services provider for the police and fire services, the George Burrows division, has announced the appointment of Steve Ferris to the post of associate director.
