Logica partners IT-Freedom in drive on costs

Logica has partnered with insurance software provider IT-Freedom to tackle the challenges created by aggregators and insurance fraud.

According to the technology services company, the alliance enables insurers to buy advanced automated policy and claims software and at the same time benefit from Logica’s financial services experience and implementation skills.

The firm’s director of insurance and wealth management, Andrew Lloyd, points out: “The truth is that market forces mean that insurers cannot stand still, and unless they innovate they will become uncompetitive.”

IT Freedom’s managing director, Mick Sargeant, adds that consumer abandonment of loyalty to a particular insurer and the need to deal with an increase in fraudulent claims means insurers must “dramatically reduce” costs if they are to remain competitive.

With this in mind, the company’s ICE Claims software allows customers to register online and track their claim throughout its lifecycle.

In addition, business users can configure the system without the need for specialised programming skills.
