HomeLet offers Tenant’s policy to students
HomeLet’s comprehensive Tenant’s Contents Insurance+ policy is now available to students living in shared accommodation, providing them with an excellent degree of coverage against theft and accidental damage.
The policy provides protection for the policyholder and two additional named tenants, and was previously only available to professional sharers.
The average premium for three tenants is £12 per month, equating to just £1 per week for each student tenant.
Managing Director John Boyle has stated that the policy was designed specifically to help protect tenants who can frequently forget to insure valuable property.
Compared to HomeLet’s previous offering, the Tenant’s Contents Insurance+ policy provides twice the coverage for no extra cost.
Under the policy students are covered against theft by forcible means, fire, lightning, earthquake or flooding and water leaks, and may also opt to insure specific items, such as pedal cycles, outside the home.
