Zurich launches Technology and Telecoms policy
Zurich has launched a Technology and Telecommunications product in the hope of winning customers within the fast-growing technology sector.
The group’s UK Professional and Financial Lines team, which specialises in cover for breaches of professional duties, says the new offering can provide tailored cover for professional indemnity risks, including cover for privacy, network security and information technology liability.
Senior market underwriter for technology, Geoff White, says: “Zurich UK’s new offering brings comprehensive cover involving experienced underwriters, claims handlers and risk engineers.”
He adds: “We have the ability to grow with our clients internationally and provide global programmes to ensure security of cover and compliance … this new launch demonstrates our intent to provide a customised insurance solution that keeps pace with this fast developing sector’s needs.”
The insurer has also recently issued a broker’s guide to the Ministry of Justice reforms for personal injury road traffic accident claims, which come into force today.
The guide focuses on compliance, and in particular the importance of early notification of third party claims to ensure that the insurer’s liability assessment can be conducted within the new 15-day timescale.
