Aviva makes strategy & development appointment

Aviva has appointed Pierre-Emmanuel Lefebvre as deputy director of strategy and development.

The thirty-year-old, who holds a degree in international strategy from the ESSEC business school in Paris, began his career with Barclays in 2003, ending up as special assistant to the chairman of Barclays France.

He joined Aviva in 2009 as secretary and co-ordinator of a project aimed at overhauling the group’s organisational structure.

In his new role, Mr Lefebvre will focus on growing the group’s business, both organically and non-organically, in France and internationally.

Stanislas Belot is taking over the vacant secretary and co-orindator’s job, having previously worked for the McKinsey Global Institute where he had the opportunity to spend time at the Institute’s economic analysis centre in the US, looking at the future of the capital markets after the financial crisis.
