Insurance Services Office (ISO) has launched a new hosted personal injury claims service.

According to the insurance solutions specialist, COA Bureau Service combines its Claims Outcome Advisor (COA) and Management Information (MI) reporting technology to provide a fully-hosted solution to insurers, loss adjusters and claims handling organisations.

The new service enables companies to outsource the entry of medical reports into COA, so that claims handlers are left free of interpreting and entering medical details.

ISO also points out that with no insurer staff training required, the system can be set up in a matter of days, allowing companies to improve consistency in their valuations and benefit from up-to-date claims management information that makes the settlement process more transparent.

ISO director of client services, Joe Pendle, says: “Our work with key players within the insurance sector has enabled us to offer the advantages of a Bureau Service along with our ISO Claims Outcome Advisor solution and our MI reports, to a broader number of businesses.”

She adds that the new model will allow the company enter into other markets and widen its reach internationally.

Last month, the group launched PCS-Canada, an independent Canadian catastrophe loss information service that can provide insurers, reinsurers and brokers with catastrophe information for natural and man-made catastrophe.
