Liberty Syndicates has secured a deal with Intelsat, the world’s largest provider of fixed-satellite services.

Under the agreement, Intelsat will provide technical support to Liberty’s satellite insurance account and allow the Syndicate access to its engineering services.

Intelsat has a fleet of 55 satellites which are used by providers of media, telecom and government services to deliver information and entertainment to people at home, in the office or on the move.

It also operates a Satellite Related Services division providing consulting services for the entire satellite lifecycle.

According to Liberty Space Underwriter, Simon Clapham, the tie-up will enable Liberty to offer greater risk solutions to its clients.
