Insurance broker and risk adviser Marsh has announced the appointment of Ricardo Brockmann as chief executive officer of the firm’s Latin America and Caribbean region.

Brockmann, who assumes his new post with immediate effect, has been with the firm for three decades and is presently chief executive officer of Marsh Mexico, a role he is to retain.

He replaces Thomaz Menezes, and will be directly responsible to the president of the International Division, Alex Moczarski.

Moczarski has described Latin America as a critical area in the firm’s plans for growth, and praised Brockmann’s extensive experience in the region and strong track record of success.

Moczarski added that under Brockmann’s leadership he was confident the firm’s reputation for client service would continue to increase and prosper.
