Specialist independent insurance and reinsurance broker Miller has announced the appointment of Issy Homan as the firm’s new head of Human Resources.

She most recently worked for Barclaycard as interim head of Human Resources, prior to which she worked for UBS in a range of senior roles including global head of Career and Performance Management.

Head of Operations John Bissell has expressed his delight at Homan’s recruitment and welcomed the fresh perspective she would bring to the firm.

Miller has also announced it has appointed Robert Pound to bolsters its North American property broking team.

Pound brings with him over a decade of experience in the insurance sector, and has previously held posts with Lockton International Companies and R K Harrision.
