Crawford & Company UK has become one of the first firms to sign the Aldermanbury Declaration.
On 4 March the Declaration was issued by the Chartered Insurance Institute, its eight key principles intended to enhance standards throughout the general insurance sector by committing to a common industry framework designed to encourage professionalism.
The Declaration is based upon the work of senior professionals in the sector, working within the CII-sponsored Insurance Profession Task Force.
Benedict V. Burke, Taskforce member and CEO of Crawford UK & Ireland, has said he believes many progressive companies will commit to the Declaration.
Burke went on to say that Crawford would work hard in the coming months to ensure that the principles of the Declaration would be fully embraced by the firm.
