Capita Insurance Distribution’s pet insurance arm Thornside has announced it is collaborating with Home Retail Group to administer its new pet insurance programme in Ireland.

Thornside presently offers home insurance via Home Retail Group’s UK-based brands Argos and Homebase brands and will expand upon this to provide the firm’s Irish Argos brand with sales, fulfillment services and claims handling services.

Home Retail Group’s Pet Insurance Product Manager Andrew Simpson has reported that the firm has seen a very good response to its UK pet insurance and are thus offering the same service to those in Ireland.

David Seel, Thornside MD, has expressed his delight at collaborating with Home Retail Group and together venturing into Ireland.

Last month Thornside was selected by AXA to provide retail giant Sainsbury’s with pet insurance, with similar deals made with Assurant and Aviva.
