Sterling appoints senior HNW underwriter
Sterling Insurance has recruited Jane Flaherty as senior high net worth (HNW) underwriter in the Midlands.
Ms Flaherty will be responsible for underwriting Sterling’s Executive Home and Executive Plus HNW products for brokers in the region, while at the same time supporting business growth.
Previously she spent eight years underwriting and growing Hiscox’s HNW account in the Midlands.
Commenting on appointment, Sterling director, David Sweeney, says: “Jane is a specialist HNW underwriter and as such brings with her specific underwriting experience and broad regional expertise and I am sure she will be a valuable addition to the team.”
Last week, Sterling was named by Legal & General (L&G) as a network partner.
The firm’s Executive range complements existing products available from L&G, providing as it does a contents sum insured of over £70,000, rebuilding costs of over £800,000 and specified personal possessions cover of £20,000.
Under the agreement, L&G will pass referrals to Sterling, which will handle all customer service and the fulfilment of policies.
