Endurance names new CEO and president

Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. has announced that from 1 March 2010 David Cash will assume the post of chief executive officer.

In another move at the top of the firm, William M. Jewett will become president and report directly to Cash.

The two men will also be nominated for election to the board of directors, in May of this year.

Kenneth J. LeStrange has served as president, CEO and chairman of Endurance since its foundation in 2001, and will retain the post of chairman until March 2011.

Lead Director William Bolinder has paid tribute to LeStrange’s time in office, describing his contribution as outstanding.

Bolinder went on to praise Cash and Jewett as ideal men for their new roles, and expressed his full confidence in their ability to perform well in their new positions.
