Groupama hires Commercial Underwriting head
Dawn Dillaway has been appointed by Groupama Insurances to occupy the new post of head of Commercial Underwriting.
She will report directly to Commercial Lines Director Malcolm Smith, and joins Groupama from Arista, where she worked as regional underwriting manager.
Dillaway has worked in the sector for more than two decades, and in addition to Arista has worked for RSA prior to joining Groupama.
She will have responsibility, in collaboration with the Commercial underwriting teams, for the firm’s technical commercial underwriting and pricing operations.
Dillaway be based in the City and lead a team of five managers within the Commercial Division’s head office.
In addition, she will work alongside the Account Management, Proposition and Marketing teams to help formulate new product initiatives.
Smith has welcomed Dillaway’s appointment, praising her skills, her wealth of expertise and her respected stature in the industry.
