Hardy Underwriting Bermuda appoints trio of directors

Specialist Lloyd’s based insurance and reinsurance business Hardy Underwriting Bermuda Ltd has announced it is appointing three new directors to its board, two of whom will be non-executive.

Fiona Luck and Anthony Taylor will take their seats as non-executive directors.

Luck was most recently chief of staff and special adviser to the chief executive officer of XL Capital Limited, and has also worked for Ace and Marsh McLennan.

Taylor has been in the industry for over three decades, and is stepping down as executive chairman of Montpelier Reinsurance to becoming its non-executive chairman instead.

He has also served as Montpelier’s CEO and president, as well as occupying posts with Wellington PLC, Willis Faber Agencies and Lloyd’s of London.

Luck joins the Board from 1 March, Taylor’s appointment is made with immediate effect.

Hardy’s director of underwriting, Adrian Walker, becomes an executive director with immediate effect.
