Marsh appoints UK energy leader
Insurance broker and risk adviser Marsh has announced the appointment of Martin Clark as UK Leader of its Energy Claims team.
In his new role Clark will have overarching responsibility for the management of energy claims written in the London insurance market.
He is to be based in London, and brings with him over a quarter of a century of insurance experience.
Clark joins Marsh from Zurich Financial Services, where he led a claims department handling high value energy, property and construction.
Barry Jones, head of UK Claims for Marsh, has described the energy sector as high risk, adding that it has suffered a number of significant losses recently, making the appointment of an energy leader particularly important.
Jones went on to state that Clark had been appointed due to his great experience and specialist skills in the sector, which would help ensure clients have their claims handled swiftly and satisfactorily.
