Thamesbank Insurance Services and Open GI have signed a five year deal which will see the software house double the broker’s IT capacity.

The insurer is bolstering its IT capabilities after strong growth during a difficult period for trade in the retail market.

Thamesbank specialises in car, home and motorcycle insurance, presently writing over £15m of premium income and operating the online brands Home Insurer and Quote Your Home.

The agreement will see Thamesbank benefit from the new Open GI products Open Document Centre and Open Workflow Manager which automate printing and post quote processes, in addition to the software house’s core trading system.

Thamesbank MD Paul Barnard has said that the firm intends to retain the strong momentum it gained in 2009 going in 2010, and praised Open GI’s strong track record.

Open GI MD Chris Guillaume has expressed the firm’s delight at being selected by Thamesbank.
