Heath Lambert appointed by Transport Scotland

Heath Lambert’s Project Risks team has been appointed insurance advisor for the Forth Replacement Crossing, a Scottish transport scheme costing up to £2.3 billion.

The project involves a 2.7km cable-stayed bridge over the Firth of Forth, together with approach roads and the installation of a modern Intelligent Transport System.

The broker will be responsible for advising and designing a project insurance programme, including the potential use of alternative risk financing for the construction and operation stages of the project.

The firm has also been retained to provide advisory and broking support for other Transport Scotland initiatives.

Health Lambert project team leader, Mark Bourke, says: “We are absolutely delighted and look forward to playing a role in supporting this iconic project.”

He adds: “Three months of intense effort in responding to the procurement process has resulted in a prodigious win for the team.”

Last year, Heath Lambert was appointed insurance adviser for the London Tideway Tunnels scheme.

The Thames Water project involves the construction of a 7km tunnel that will intercept raw sewage that would otherwise enter the Thames in the event of heavy rainfall.
