With 2010 well underway Fortis Insurance has announced it is starting a new recruitment drive, with a view to getting the new recruits in place by the summer.

Last October the firm stated its intention to embark upon a campaign to recruit 550 new employees in the Gloucester, Eastleigh and Stoke regions following recent business successes.

A wide range of new job opportunities are being created, including underwriting, administration, human resources, team leaders/controllers, claims specialists and others.

As part of the strategic expansion, a three storey 11,000 square foot extension is being added to the firm’s Gloucester office to house the new employees.

HR Director Lyn Nicholls has expressed the firm’s delight at being able to offer new opportunities for employment despite the general difficulties with employment afflicting the UK presently.
