AXA launches broker travel extranet

AXA Insurance has launched AXA Travel extranet, an online portal for brokers.

According to the insurer, the new facility is easy to use and allows registered brokers with an imarket login to AXA’s broker website to provide “quality travel insurance from a recognised provider”.

Users can then actively manage their clients’ travel portfolios through the extranet, which also allows mid-term adjustments and online medical screening.

Cover includes AXA’s independent traveller option for those who book their holiday components independently, rather than buy a package deal.

The group’s managing director of personal lines intermediary, Mike Keating, says: “Brokers have been asking us for a quick and easy way to provide travel insurance to their clients.”

He adds: “Our proven expertise in the travel market where we are the number one travel underwriter together with the comprehensive product we offer make this an attractive addition to a broker’s portfolio.”

Also this week, AXA has announced the appointment of Pascal Buffard as chief executive officer of its Group Solutions unit, which is responsible for rolling out and maintaining group shared IT systems and services.
