Oemga appoints head of investor relations
Bermuda-based Omega Insurance Holdings has appointed David Coles as head of investor relations.
Mr Coles, who has over 14 years’ experience in the international reinsurance industry, joins from Atlas Partners, an independent advisory firm which he co-founded.
Prior to this, he worked at Amlin as head of corporate development and also held posts in the banking division of Morgan Stanley, BNP Paribas’s M&A team and PricewaterhouseCoopers’ insurance sector practice.
In his new post Mr Cole reports to Penny James, Omega’s chief financial officer, and will focus on developing further outreach to Omega’s sell-side and buy-side communities, as well as planning and coordinating international shareholder communications.
Having previously been listed on AIM, Omega listed on the London Stock Exchange in July 2008 to become one of seven non-life insurers on the main market.
The company employs over 50 staff specialising in underwriting short-tail property insurance and reinsurance for small to medium sized clients.
