AXA Assistance appoints CEO
AXA Assistance has appointed Bob Ewers as chief executive officer of its UK and Irish operations.
Mr Ewers has been working for the wider AXA group for ten years, joining AXA Assistance in 2008 where he most recently held the post of deputy chief executive officer and was primarily focused on motor business.
He takes over from Jesus Carmona who is moving to head AXA Assistance’s global travel business.
Commenting on his appointment, the new chief executive pledges: “Developing new sales growth whilst maintaining the high standard of service our customers expect will be the focus of the business for next year.”
In recent weeks AXA Assistance has also bolstered its sales team with the appointment of Jason Sparrow, who is charged with developing relationships with new clients.
Mr Sparrow has joined the business team as head of sales, having worked in the financial services industry for 20 years in various roles covering personal and motor finance, and most recently assistance services.
