Comet Replacement Services launches mobile voucher service
Comet Replacement Services (CRS), which provides insurers and loss adjusters with product replacement support, has launched an SMS voucher service that speeds up the claims process.
Using mobile voucher redemption technology developed by Eagle eye Solutions, Comet vouchers can now be delivered to any mobile handset via a text message.
The message contains a ten digit number which is entered into the till system and redeemed in a similar way to pre-loaded plastic cards.
Vouchers can be fully or partially spent and any remaining value is sent to the customer in a second SMS message.
The system enables insurers to settle claims in a matter of hours, meaning the claimant can make a purchase the same day the claim has been validated.
According to CRS, the voucher transaction is fully secure and also has environmental benefits as no plastic or paper is needed in the process.
The firm’s spokeswoman, Sue Cuthbert, comments: “Comet is often at the forefront of technology, bringing the latest developments to customers to ensure they continue to have the best customer experience.”
CRS currently works with 14 of the UK’s top 50 insurers, processing around 150,000 claims annually.
