Insurance broker and risk adviser Marsh has announced the appointment of Rod Ratsma as leader of its UK Business Continuity Management (BCM) team.

He joined the firm last year as a consultant in the BCM team, leaving behind the role of Principal and head of Continuity Consulting with Siemens Enterprise Communications.

Ratsma will succeed Martin Caddick, and report directly to Jeff Colburn, head of the UK Risk Consulting Practice.

In his new position he will be responsible for the supervision of business continuity-related product and services development.

Colburn has described Ratsma as a man of extensive experience in the field of business continuity management, and welcomed him to his new post with the firm.

Ratsma himself has said he is looking forward to helping Marsh enhance its operational resilience as the economy moves towards recovery next year.
