Catlin announce board changes
International specialty property/casualty insurer and reinsurer Catlin Group Limited has announced a pair of non-executive director changes.
Guy Beringer’s appointment will be subject to the AGM in 2010 following his selection yesterday.
For the best part of a decade Beringer worked as senior partner of Allen & Overy until he retired last year, having served the firm for over 30 years.
Presently he serves as non-executive director of Fleming Family & Partners Ltd and London Irish Holdings Limited, and is also a non-executive board member of HM Court Service.
Michael Hepher is to retire from the board at the end of January, having been a member since 2003.
Hepher’s role as chairman of the Audit Committee will be occupied by Nicholas Lyons, who was appointed a non-executive director in August 2008.
Chairman Sir Graham Hearne has warmly welcomed Beringer’s appointment, and the extensive experience he will bring to Catlin in his new role as non-executive director.
Sir Graham went on to pay tribute to Hepher’s contribution to the firm, and congratulated Lyons on his appointment.
