LIU Europe targets larger businesses for PI
Liberty International Underwriters Europe (LIU Europe) is embarking upon a move to target larger regional Professional Indemnity (PI) risks within the United Kingdom.
The move will augment the firm’s existing PI book, and comes after LIU Europe has enjoyed considerable success in this area of business.
LIU Europe will target larger professional businesses in the UK with £20m in annual fee income, including newer areas such as management consulting as well as more established professions, including architects, engineers and accountants.
Over the last year and a half the firm has enhanced its regional expertise in PI following a number of appointments, allowing it to pursue its present action.
UK Regional PI Manager Richard Mason has stated that the economic downturn has focused minds on getting the right PI cover, adding that LIU Europe had enjoyed substantial success with smaller professional businesses, hence its expansion to larger businesses.
