Guy Carpenter & Company has been named by Reinsurance magazine’s readers and subscribers as the Reinsurance Broker of the Year.

The award was given at the Readers’ Awards 2009, which seek to recognise the best performing firms throughout the reinsurance industry.

President and Chief Executive Officer Peter Zaffino has expressed his delight on behalf of Guy Carpenter that the firm’s efforts have been recognised by the readers of Reinsurance magazine.

The firm has also won a number of other awards recently.

The Credit, Bond and Political Risk Team was named Reinsurance Broking Team of the Year at the Worldwide Reinsurance Awards 2009 in September, and in the same month Guy Carpenter won the award for Best Large Reinsurance Broker at the 2009 Global Awards dinner.
