Fortis has been awarded the Incisive Media Gold Standard Award for Insurance for the second year running.

Last year the firm became the first insurer to achieve the standard, and was presented with this year’s award by Lord Hunt of Wirral in the House of Commons.

Earlier this year Fortis was the highest ranked financial services firm in the UK Customer Satisfaction Index (UKCSI).

Deborah Benn, a member of the Gold Standard Panel, praised Fortis for its customer-centred approach, singling out the independent valuation service and customer surveys for particular praise and describing them as impressive.

Fortis UK CEO Barry Smith expressed the firm’s delight at the second consecutive achievement of the Gold Standard, adding that it was a testament to the dedication and hard work of the firm’s staff.
