European insurer and reinsurer Glacier Group has announced it is making a brace of senior appointments, and that it has completed its strategic review.

Andreas Zdrenyk has been named as chief risk officer of Glacier Group, and Morten Pahle becomes UK branch manager of Glacier Insurance.

Zdrenyk assumes responsibility for the group’s risk management functions, and joins the senior leadership team.

He brings with him over a quarter of a century of experience in US and European (re)insurance, and joined Glacier last year as head of Group Risk Management.

Pahle joined the firm last year as senior underwriter in the London office, and succeeds Steven Price as UK branch manager.

Group CEO Todd Hart has said that the firm will continue to focus on its key strengths to deliver bespoke solutions to its customers.

Hart added that Glacier would put particular emphasis on certain areas of its business, including specialty insurance and reinsurance, direct and facultative property insurance in Europe and elsewhere, and other areas.
