Insurance broker Aon has bolstered its aviation team with six new appointments, based in London.

The new staff will cater to airlines and aerospace companies around the world, utilising their negotiating acumen and experience to enhance the firm’s offering.

John Westoby joins from Marsh, where he led the aviation and aerospace practice for over a decade, to become senior broker.

Also from Marsh is Adam Hemingway, who becomes broker and client manager.

Simon Blanden leaves behind the role of executive director at Willis to become client manager.

The team will be supported by graduate trainees Christopher Percy and Martyn Chattey, and next year Meghan Walker will join Aon as senior broker.

Aon Global UK aviation and aerospace practice leader Simon Knechtli has welcomed the new recruits, describing them as enthusiastic and driven individuals whose appointment underlines the firm’s commitment to remain at the forefront of broking.
